The system targets users within an exact area of impact and allows residents to customize what type of alerts they receive. These alerts can include situations such as:

• Evacuation notices
• Shelter in place notice
• Active shooter notifications                     
• Boil water advisories
• Water main breaks
• Severe weather 
• Emergency contact information and resources (shelter locations, food distribution, water distribution, etc.

Sign up to get alerts relative to your residence or get the app to receive alerts based on your phone's location. The nationwide system can alert you through the app even when you are on vacation.
