PROPOSED STANDARDS GOVERNING THE CONVEYANCE OF REAL PROPERTY IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, OHIO

The Montgomery County Engineer, Paul W. Gruner, P.E., P.S., and the Montgomery County Auditor, Karl Keith, are pleased to announce the proposal of standards to govern the conveyances of real property in Montgomery County, Ohio.

 All interested parties are encouraged to review the attached proposed Standards. 

 Comments and Questions from the public are welcome.  Please contact Jeremy Popp at the Montgomery County Auditor’s Office at poppj@mcohio.org or Wayne Boutwell at the Montgomery County Engineer’s Office at boutwellw@mcohio.org with your questions or comments.

 Copies of the proposed standards are also available for public review in the Montgomery County Auditor’s Office, Third and Fifth Floors, and in the Montgomery County Engineer’s Office, Eighth Floor, County Administration Building, 451 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio, 45422.

 Two Public Hearings concerning the adoption of the proposed Standards to Govern the Conveyances of Real Property in Montgomery County, Ohio will be conducted virtually via Zoom.us and livestreamed on the County’s Facebook page (@MontgomeryCounty) on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. and Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at 3:00 p.m.   Click here to view Notice of Public Hearings.

Special Advisories

July 8, 2020

The Montgomery County Engineer’s Office on the 8th Floor of the County Administration Building opened to the public on July 6 2020. We are operating with staggered shifts in order to maintain social distancing in the office. Therefore, the office staff is still working approximately half of their time from home. If you want to meet with a particular staff person, please call in advance and schedule an appointment to be sure they are here when you arrive. In accordance with Governor DeWine’s order effective at 6:00 pm on July 8, 2020, all visitors to the County Administration Building are required to wear masks. Elevators in the building are limited to 2 occupants at a time. In addition, hand sanitizer is available at stations throughout the building. Employees are continuing to wear masks except when they are working alone at their desks with proper social distance.

The Operations Division employees working out of our Little Richmond Road facility are continuing to perform their essential work. All visitors to Little Richmond Road are also required to wear masks while in the building in accordance with the Governor’s order.

Thank you for your cooperation during these trying times. These measures will improve the safety of both employees and visitors.

April 2, 2020

The Operations Division employees have been staying at home since March 24 in order to minimize spread of the Coronavirus, while on call for any emergencies. The entire operations workforce will be returning to work on Monday, April 6, 2020. They will be working with new protocols in order to stay as safe as possible, while still working on needed road maintenance.

March 19, 2020

The Montgomery County Administration Building is now closed to the public.  Anyone needing to make contact with the office,please call 937-225-4904.  If you have a direct number for any employee, call that number directly.

March 17, 2020

As of this date, all employees of the Montgomery County Engineer’s Office are working, unless they are sick, need to care for sick family members, need to care for school age children, or other similar circumstances.

Many of our office employees are telecommuting, but we do have staff in the office to handle services to the public. However, our office doors are closed to the public. Anyone needing assistance, needing to submit documents, etc., is encouraged to call the office at 937-225-4904 to make arrangements with a staff person.

Our field crews are at work maintaining the roads and bridges except as noted above. We request that any citizens refrain from close-quarters conversations with them, but instead call our Operations Division at 937-837-2528.
