Montgomery County is working on a debris removal plan. We will share recommendations with the public when available. For now, residents can sort yard waste if desired and place it at the curb separate from other debris.
Our Solid Waste District is also accepting yard waste debris free of charge for Montgomery and Greene County residents affected by the storm. This waste can be dropped off at the Solid Waste District, which is located at 1001 Encrete Lane in Moraine, Ohio. Please make sure that all yard waste is free of other trash and debris.
Our Solid Waste District will be open for extended hours to accept debris:
- Monday – Friday: 6am – 8pm
- On Saturday, we will be open from 8am – 6pm (additional 3 hours)
- On Sunday, we will be open from 8am – 6pm (yard waste and trash drop-off and only, no recycle drop-off, electronics drop-off, or waste oil drop-off).
Contractors hauling yard waste may drop off debris for $36/ton.
We will experience increased volume and operations demands for several weeks and we are working on a plan to handle that increased demand.
