Wireless Emergency Communication Center Deployed

To help storm victims stay connected, a Wireless Emergency Communication Center (WECC) has been deployed in Dayton.

Wireless Emergency Communication Centers are generator-powered mobile units that have device charging and computer workstations, along with wireless phones, tablets and other devices to contact friends, family and other important contacts over Verizon's 4G LTE network.

The WECC is stationed at the Red Cross Shelter located at: 700 South James H McGee Blvd, Dayton OH 45402.

Beginning Wednesday, May 29 through June 5, Verizon is providing unlimited calling, texting and data to its postpaid and prepaid customers who reside in parts of Eastern Kansas, East Central Indiana and West Central Ohio - including hard hit communities like Pendleton, IN; Lawrence, KS; Celina, OH and Dayton. In addition, to help with relief efforts, Verizon is making a $10,000 donation to the American Red Cross of Dayton.
