Juvenile Court Issues COVID-19 Administrative Order

Today, Judge Anthony Capizzi, Administrative Judge of the Montgomery County Juvenile Court, issued a new administrative order concerning scheduled trials, hearings, and proceedings within the Juvenile Court.

The administrative order states that all trials, hearings and proceedings in delinquency, traffic, civil and abuse, neglect and dependency and adult cases are suspended until after May 4, 2020, except the following types of hearings:

                                     1. Initial Hearing for Detained Youth;
                                     2. Emergency Removal / Shelter Care Hearings;
                                     3. Ex Party Orders in Civil Actions;
                                     4. Ex Party Juvenile Protection Orders.

Additionally, for all Montgomery County Juvenile Court matters that are currently pending, Counsel and any Pro Se parties will be contacted by the Court Services Department and informed that notice and summons will be issued with the new Court date
