Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency Requests Materials to Make Facemasks

The Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency is asking generous citizens and businesses to donate solid color (preferably white, grey, or tan) cotton fabric and sheets to turn into cloth facemasks.

Donations can be dropped off weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at St. Vincent de Paul's loading dock at 945 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd. (south side of the building). Individuals can ring the bell to the left of the dock for assistance.

“Montgomery County greatly appreciates the generosity of our citizens and businesses during this time,” said Montgomery County Commission President Judy Dodge. “We are working diligently with our regional partners to collect and distribute supplies where they are needed most to protect frontline staff and citizens.”

Public Health - Dayton & Montgomery County will provide the material to local sewing groups to create needed cloth facemasks.
