Montgomery County Employee Selected For Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame

Kimberly Frisco, Executive Director of Montgomery County Veterans Service Commission (MCVSC), will be inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame Class of 2020. A 20-year Air Force veteran, Frisco is one of just 20 veterans who were selected for the 29th annual Induction Ceremony in November.
The inductees were selected based on their post-military service. Governor Mike DeWine announced the honorees during a press conference on Sept. 15.

The Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be different this year, with honorees receiving their medals and certificates in a way that allows for social distancing. The program itself will be held virtually and shared on OhioVets.gov.

Frisco joins nearly 900 other Ohio veterans who have received the honor since 1992. The Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame was established to recognize veteran’s achievements after leaving military service.

In her role at MCVSC, Frisco advocates for veterans and their families, helping them navigate the Department of Veterans Affairs benefits system, and providing direct and indirect financial assistance during unexpected illness, injury, or loss of employment.
